Benelli & Morbidelli Signed

Italian heritage motorcycle brands officially enter Nepal under VOITH's expanding two-wheeler division, building toward local assembly.

Two of Italy's most storied motorcycle marques, Benelli and Morbidelli, have officially joined VOITH's growing two-wheeler division in Nepal. The agreements, signed in December 2025, mark a decisive step in VOITH's ambition to move beyond distribution and toward building motorcycles in Nepal.

A century of Italian heritage

Founded in Pesaro in 1911, Benelli is one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in the world, celebrated for its inline-four engines and modern naked and scrambler platforms. Morbidelli, a legendary name in Grand Prix racing, returns to the road with a contemporary line-up that pairs racing pedigree with everyday usability.

Bringing both brands under one roof gives VOITH a complementary portfolio:

  • Benelli: modern roadsters, scramblers, and adventure-styled motorcycles
  • Morbidelli: heritage-inspired models with a distinctive design language
  • A shared service, parts, and after-sales backbone across VOITH's network

More than importing, building locally

The signing is not the finish line; it is the foundation for local SKD assembly. By assembling motorcycles in Nepal, VOITH aims to develop domestic technical expertise, shorten supply chains, and create skilled manufacturing jobs.

We are not just selling motorcycles. We want to build them here, with Nepali hands and Nepali talent.

This approach mirrors VOITH's broader philosophy of Serving · Caring · Growing Together, investing in capability, not just commerce.

What it means for riders

For Nepali riders, the partnership translates into:

  1. Access to authentic Italian engineering, sold and serviced locally
  2. Faster parts availability and warranty support through VOITH's dealer network
  3. A pathway to locally assembled models that are better suited to Nepal's roads and price points

The Benelli and Morbidelli agreements add momentum to a two-wheeler strategy that already includes electric mobility, positioning VOITH at the centre of Nepal's next chapter in personal transport.
